NRC STAFF REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO RESPOND TO INTERVENORS' MOTION TO DISMISS PROCEEDINGS On July 10, 1979 the Intervenors moved to Dismiss these proceedinas or in the alternative to' stay action, the principle reason being the Applicant's recent filings with the North Carolina Utilities Conmission which raise questions regarding the construction of the Perkins units.
The Staff is reviewing Applicant's filings before the NCUC and independently seeking information on Applicant's plans for the proposed Perkins station.
The Staff needs time properly to assess the new inforr.ation and hereby requests the Board to grant the Staff 30 days from.the date of this request to respond to Intervenor's Motion to Dismiss.
The undersigned Staff counsel has conferred with counsel for Applicant and Intervenors and they have no objection to the Board granting the Staff's request for an extension of time.
