Dear Mr. Ippolito:
This is in reply to your letter dated August 3, 1979 concerning active licensing review of safety issues at Humboldt Bay Power Plant.
We have responded to IE Bulletin 79-08 concerning events relevant to boiling water power reactors identified during the Three Mile Island (TMI) incident and consider this an active issue.
In addition, we are actively participating in the BWR owners' group for handling TMI issues that will be addressed on a generic basis, and we request that Humboldt Bay Power Plant Unit No. 3 be included in the generic review.
