Inspection Report 50-285/79-05 (2) Letter from G. L. Madsen, NRC, to T. E. Short, OPPD, dated June 6, 1979
Dear Mr. Seyfrit:
The Omaha Public Power District received a letter from the Com-mission, dated June 6,1979, requesting that the District identify corrective steps taken, or to be taken, to prevent recurrence of items of noncompliance resulting from new installations or altered security system barriers which can be confirmed during a future inspection.
In response, the District vill ensure that any altered barrier or new barrier receives an initial inspection before it in declared operable, in order to ensure that it meets the requirements as described in the Fort Calhoun Station Site Security Plan.
Subsequent visual inspections of the barrier will be performed during security force patrols.
Any degradation of barriers will be brought to the attention of M1nagement, and compensatory measures will be taken until repairs are made.
Initial inspection findings vill be documented for future reference.
