In response to your letter of April 17, 1979, which transmitted Nuclear Regulatory Comission IE Bulletin 79-09, we wish to advise that a review of the design of Catawba Nuclear Station has been conducted. This review revealed that no GE Type AK-2 circuit breakers are used or planned for use in safety-related systems at Catawba.
