Dear Congressman Dodd:
Chairman Hendrie has asked me to acknowledge receipt of your wire of March 31 as well as your letter of Aoril 20 concerning the safety of nuclear power plants in Connecticut in light of the accident at Three Mile Island.
k'hile the Conrission will be responding to your correspondence in the near future, I believe it is important to emphasize that it shares your concern for a thorougn reevaluation of current policies and pro.cedures.
This point was recently made by Chairman Hendrie in testimony before the Senate Subcommittee on Nuclear Regulation regarding the Three Mile Island accident.
I am enclosing a copy of that testimony for your information.
