The Nuclear Regulatory Comission (NRC) staff has reviewed the oro-posed Environmental Technical Specifications (ETS) for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2, submitted by ycur letter of April 29, 1976 to the Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation. The najority of the submitted ocn-radiological ETS have been rewritten by the staff to conform with a model standardized ETS which is currently being developed by the NRC staff and which ray not be in total confomance with the format shewn in f qulatory Guide 4.8.

These redrafted nca-ntdiological ETS are enclose, for your con-sidera tion.

Please note that the enclosed ETS do not include Section 3.2, Radiological Monitoring. We expect to receive that sectim from you incorporating what you consider the necessary elements from the Technical Specifications for Unit 1, intecrated with the elemnts necessary to operate Unit 2, and incorcorating staff's positions as shewn in the Draft Supplement to the Final Environmental Statement.

The proposed radiological section for the Technical Specifications should follow Regulatory Guide 4.8.

The enclosed revised ET5 are not coglete in other areas es well, and the Table of Contents has been appropriately c:arked.
