An invectir.ation has been ec pleted of the allegationn nde by
tha tro for.,cr tatch.cn at the Fctropolitan rdicen's Three Mile
Icicnd site. A copy of the inventication report is enclosed.
The IntC investigation hoc identified three infractions of ;u;ency
regulations. Thece relate to the inndcquacy of centrol over gace

It chould he noted that these conditienc occurred

The allegation that a rate ras rc~oved fron its hin;cs Uts con-
firaed, though the incident did not result in a threat to tbc
plcut's recurity. The investication further found that the ratch-

URC incpectors have devoted in encesa of 200 ran-dava at forty-
ono plant sites inspectire, phycical cecurity. Phycical security
reviewn and inspacticus are ccnducted pr;!ar to the incunnce of
operating licenses. Unannounced reinspections at operating plants
are part of cur routina int.pcetion progren.
As a recult cf tha nhova findings, and inapection efforts, we do
not concider that there are scrions security probicna at the
Three Milo Inlan-1 md Millateno citas, ila helieve nur inspcerion
progran in ahic to identify prob 1ces and insure necessary corrective
action in a timely canner.
