Sampling and Analysis for Technetium-99 Date:
Tuesday, July 23, 2019 2:58:00 PM Bill/Jeff, The NRC staff reviewed your email dated May 13, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19169A196) and approves your proposal to add Technetium-99 (Tc-99) analysis to 20 locations in the annual environmental monitoring program and charging this activity to Task 2, License Compliance.
The NRC staff also approves your proposal for the sampling and analysis of 35 additional monitor wells for gross alpha, gross beta, and Tc-99. The cost for this work can be charged to Task 6, Unanticipated Work, and allocated to the Federal Account and the State Account in the same proportion as work charged to Task 4, Site Decommissioning; that is, 93.2% from the Federal Account, and 6.8% from the State Account.
Please submit a scope of work, estimated costs, and proposed allocation of costs for these activities to the NRC and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality for approval approval.
