CSB COMMENTS GM SUPFLEiENT 2 TO THE SAFETY EVALUATIC*!
REPORT FOR THREE HILE ISLNLD, UNIT 2 We have noted that ceruin Containr:ent Syste=s Branen Oc:m:ents related to Supplenent 2 to the Safety Evaluation Report for Three Mile Island, Unit 2 were not incorporated. Specifically:
1.
the fourth paragraph of Section 6.2.2 should not infer that our preli:ninary review indicates satisfactory resolution of our concerns regarding the containment spray pu:::p net positive suction head; and 2.
the supplement should include a statenent to the effect that our acceptance of the applicant's proposed use of the containment purge system during nornal plant operation is contingent upon the finding that tne purge systes isoistion valves are capable of closing during the design basis loss of coolant accident.
These coments were cxnitted and we feel that they should have been incorporated in Supple::ent 2 to the SER.
