In a Co"ssion :'e crandus and Order dated Dece=ber 7,1973, c e " ng the LaSalle County Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, the Regulatory staff was directed to determine, for facilities under construction cr.d for construction applications under review, if quality assurance p ersonnel have sufficient authority and organizational f reedon to perfo r their critical functions effectively and without reservation.

To rake this deternication, we require a full and complete response to the follouing information requests as applicable to your orgacization and to the organizations of your principal contractors (for example, A/ E, NSSS, Constructor).

Your response should be provided by Feb ruary 15, 19 7 '.

Identify and chart the organizational structure of individuals or groups perforcing QA related activities (checking, auditing, inspecting, or verifying that an activity has been correctly perforced) in design, procurement, manufacturing, construction and testing.

Describe their responsibilitf, authority (including stop work authority), and primary duties.
