Dear Sir or Madam:
By the referenced letter, SCE notified the NRC of our intent to begin preparations for resumption of Fuel Transfer Operations (FTO) at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS). FTO has been suspended since the August 3, 2018 canister download event. In the referenced letter, SCE committed to notify the NRC when final readiness to resume FTO is achieved, but prior to resuming FTO.
As I discussed today by phone with members of your staff, SONGS has achieved readiness to resume FTO. SCE intends to resume FTO within the next few days. This letter completes the commitment described in the referenced letter.
There are no new regulatory commitments provided in this letter.
