Dear Ms. Catts:
By letter dated September 12, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML18256A013), Global Nuclear Fuel - Americas, LLC (GNF) submitted Proposed Amendment 47 to NEDE-24011-P-A-27, General Electric Standard Application for Reactor Fuel (GESTAR II) Supporting Implementation of TSTF-564, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff for review. Enclosed for review and comment is a copy of the NRC staffs draft safety evaluation (SE) for the proposed supplement.
Twenty working days are provided for you to comment on the proprietary aspects and any factual errors or clarity concerns contained in the draft SE. The final SE will be issued after making any necessary changes. The NRC staffs disposition of your comments on the draft SE will be discussed in the final SE.
To facilitate the NRC staffs review of your comments, please provide a marked-up copy of the draft SE showing proposed changes and provide a summary table of the proposed changes.
