U.S. Department of Homeland Security One Independence Mall, Sixth Floor 615 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, PA 19106-4404 Enclosed is the final After Action Report/Improvement Plan for the Salem/Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations, Medical Services Drill that was held on April 26, 2019. The Wilmington Hospital and Port Penn Volunteer Fire Company, in conjunction with the New Castle County Division of Emergency Medical Services Paramedics, participated in the drill.
There were no Level 1 Findings, Level 2 Findings, or Plan Issues identified during the drill.
Based on the results of the exercise and a review of the offsite radiological emergency response plans and procedures submitted, FEMA Region III has determined they are adequate (meet the planning and preparedness standards ofNUREG-0654/FEMA-REP-1, Revision 1, November 1980, as referenced in 44 CPR 350.5) and there is reasonable assurance they can be implemented, as demonstrated during this exercise.
