https://www.hanford.gov/page.cfm/WasteManagementAreaC This call was held to conduct logistical planning for the public meeting to be held in Richland, Washington on May 30, 2019. The objective of May 30th public meeting is for NRC staff to present its Request for Additional Information (RAI) on the Draft Waste Incidental to Reprocessing Evaluation for Closure of Waste Management Area C at the Hanford Site. The NRC staff RAI is publicly available via the NRC Agencywide Documents Access and Management System via Accession No. ML19112A091.
Additionally during this call, DOE requested that NRC staff provide a summary of RAI comments 2-2, 2-10, 2-12, 2-13, 2-14, and 3-2 to ensure there was a common understanding of the comment and proposed path forward. During the May 30th public meeting, DOE may ask NRC staff for additional clarification on any of the submitted RAI comments.
