OF THE APRIL 4, 2019 PUBLIC OUTREACH/OPEN HOUSE TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2018 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF THE DUANE ARNOLD ENERGY CENTER On April 4, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (CDT), a public outreach/open house was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2018 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Duane Arnold Energy Center and with general information on the NRC. The Open House was held at the Palo Community Center in Palo, Iowa. A list of the Open House attendees is attached. Four members of the public attended the meeting. No feedback form was received for this Open House.
The NRC discussed their assessment of the Duane Arnold Energy Centers performance during the meeting. The assessment information was documented in the March 4, 2019, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (reference ADAMS Accession Number ML19063B433). Representatives from the NRC made copies of the above letter, the 2018-2019 NRC Information Digest (NUREG-1350), and other brochures and fact sheets available to the public in attendance.
Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NextEra officials and NRC officials.
