Framatome intends to Request an Amendment of Docket No. 71-9319, Framatome MAP-12 and MAP-13 Shipping Container.

(2) NRC Certificate of Compliance Number 9319 Revision 11 Framatome Inc. (Framatome) wishes to inform the NRC that we intend, per the provisions of 10 CFR 71.19(c), to formally request an amendment to Certificate of Compliance 9319 for the MAP packaging in early April, 2019. This request is in support of the fabrication of MAP-13 containers.
We will be submitting this application for changes to the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) and Safety Analysis Report (SAR) as the result of clarifying comments and simple errors observed as a result of the fabrication process. No changes to the allowed fuel designs are being requested.
