In response to your letter of December 10, 1974 requesting our commitment to the applicability of WASH 1283 (May 24, 1974),
WASH 1309 (May 10, 1974) and WASH 1284 (October 26, 1Q~3) to design, procurement and construction activities which may take place over the lifetime of the plant, we herewith submii the revision to the 1*irst paragraph of Section D.) of the 8alem J:i';:)h.l~:
D.5 PSE&G OPERATIONAL QA PROGRAM T~e Operational QA (OPQA) Program will comply with Appendix B to 10 CFR 50.
During the Operations Phase the QA program will also comply with the provisions of WASH 1283 dated May 24, 1974, WASH 1309 dated May 10, 1974 and WASH 1284 dated October 26, 1973.
Exception to the provisions in the foregoing WASH documents will be taken in cases where their implementation may result in back-fi tting.
Th~ information presented above will be reflected in the Salem FSAR.
