APPROVAL OF WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANYS SAFEGUARDS REVIEWING OFFICIAL
Dear Mr. Corletti:
By letter dated August 23, 2018, Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) requested an update to remove Mr. John Kostelnik and nominate Mr. Stephen Reed as official reviewer for determination of Safeguards Information Access within Westinghouse.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff has verified the clearance level of Mr. Stephen Reed and has approved his nomination as Westinghouses reviewing official.
As Westinghouses approved reviewing official, Mr. Reed will review the results of the Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal history records check to make Safeguards Information (SGI) access determination. Your reviewing official, and only your reviewing official, can make SGI access determinations for other individuals who have been identified by Westinghouse as having a need-to-know for SGI, and who have been fingerprinted and have had a criminal history check. The reviewing official can only make SGI access determinations for other individuals, but cannot appoint other individuals to act as reviewing officials.
