NUCLEAR FUEL SERVICES - ACCEPTANCE FOR REVIEW OF UPDATED DECOMMISSIONING FUNDING PLAN (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFIER L-2018-DFA-0011)

Dear Mr. Freudenberger:

We have received your letter dated November 30, 2018, transmitting an updated decommissioning funding plan. The document is available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) under Accession Number ML18341A249. Your request has been assigned Enterprise Project Identifier L-2018-DFA-0011. Please reference this number in any future correspondence associated with this request.

We have completed our acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. A complete review of this submittal may identify issues that require additional information.

Based on our preliminary review and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our review by the end of June 2019. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule. In addition, we estimate that completing the review will require approximately 80 staff hours.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at: http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
