Justification for the change This change updates the agreement between the City of Columbia and MURR, in that the City of Columbia Fire Department will respond to fires or other emergency situations should they occur at the facility.

Dear Mr. Meffert,
This letter is to reaffirm our assurance that the City of Columbia Fire Departmen t will respond to fires or other emergency situations should they occur at the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR).
We understand that the research reactor staff will continue to conduct training sessions at least every two years for Fire Departmen t personnel, including MURR faci,ity orientation and review of selected health physics procedures specific to the MURR.facility. The responsibility for maintaining and scheduling training for our Fire Departmen t, which will participate in such training, will remain with the MURR staff in coordinatio n with the
