SUBJECT: SUMMARY OF NOVEMBER 30, 2018, MEETING WITH EXELON GENERATION COMPANY, LLC REGARDING THE PRELIMINARY SAFETY SIGNIFICANCE DETERMINATION IN NRC INSPECTION REPORT 05000461/2018051 DATED NOVEMBER 6, 2018
On November 30, 2018, a Category 1 public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and representatives of Exelon Generation Company, LLC at the NRC Region III Office, 2443 Warrenville Road, Suite 210, Lisle, IL 60532-4352, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 The purpose of the meeting was to assist the NRC in determining the safety significance of the finding and apparent violation detailed in NRC Inspection Report 05000461/2018051 dated November 6, 201 The regulatory conference was held at the request of the license The licensee agreed with the finding and violation but disagreed with the findings preliminary determination of White safety significanc The licensee presented their significance determination evaluation and the reasons why they felt it differed from the one performed by the NR The slides Exelon used for the discussion are available in Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML18333A33 The NRC reached no conclusions in regard to the final safety significance determination at this meetin The licensee agreed to provide additional details to the NRC on the Docket in regards to questions asked about the information that was referenced in the slides by Friday, December 14, 201 The NRC will provide the final conclusion on the safety significance of this finding in a subsequent correspondenc The meeting notice, dated November 13, 2018, is available in ADAMS at Accession N ML18317A40 A list of attendees is enclose There were two members of the public present at this meeting via teleconferenc In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this summary and its enclosure will be made available to the publi __/RA/_____________________
