Mr R. A. Purple, Chief Operating Reactors Branch No 1 US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 DOCKET 50-255, LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT By letter dated March 1, 1976 Consumers Power Company was requested to review the reactor coolant system pressure temperature limits for heatup and cooldown operations, system hydrostatic tests and reactor core criticality for the Palisades Plant to determine if they are in fuli compliance with 10 CFR 50, Appendix G.
We engaged consultants to perform this review and they have compieted the review and'provided a report, At present, we do not believe Technical Specifications changes are required but it will be several more weeks before Consumers Power Company's review of the consultants' work is completed.
Thus, if Technical Spec~fications changes are required, they will be submitted by June 1, 1976 rather than within 60 days as requested in your letter.
