CONFIRMATION OF FINAL STATUS SURVEY REPORT FOR NORTH SITE SURVEY UNITS 6 AND 7 (ENTERPISE PROJECT IDENTIFIER L-2018-DF1-0000)
Dear Mr. Freudenberger:
We have completed our review of the Final Status Survey Report for Survey Units 6 and 7 Surface Soil submitted by letter dated June 8, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession Number ML18177A173), and supplemented by letter dated October 3, 2018 (ADAMS Accession Number ML18128A284). Based on this review, we confirm that the survey units are suitable for unrestricted release.
We note that Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. must address the potential for recontamination of the areas if substantial time passes before a request for release of this site. In addition, we note that this evaluation applies only to soil contamination and that evaluation of other media should be performed separately.
A Safety Evaluation Report of our review is enclosed.
The Enterprise Project Identifier is closed as a result of this action.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from ADAMS.
