SUMMARY
OF THE JULY 2, 2018 AND AUGUST 6, 2018 CLOSED TELECONFERENCES WITH NUSCALE POWER, LLC REGARDING DESIGN CERTIFICATION APPLICATION SECTION 3.9.2, DYNAMIC TESTING AND ANALYSIS OF SYSTEMS, COMPONENTS, AND EQUIPMENT The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a closed teleconference on July 2, 2018 and August 6, 2018, to discuss Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) Tier 2, Chapter 3, Design of Structures, Systems, Components and Equipment, Section 3.9.2, Dynamic Testing and Analysis of Systems, Components, and Equipment, of the NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale)
Design Certification Application. This was a closed call due to proprietary information discussions.
The public meeting notices can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management Systems (ADAMS) under Accession Nos. ML18176A310 and ML18201A146, respectively. This meeting notice was also posted on the NRC public Website.
The meeting agenda and list of participants can be found in Enclosures 1 and 2, respectively.

Summary:
The purpose of this meetings was to discuss the progress on developing request for additional information (RAI) responses submitted by NRC staff on Section 3.9.2 regarding the NuScale Power Module (NPM) Seismic the RAI Nos. submitted are 8911 (ADAMS Accession No. ML17237C062), and 9546 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18243A502). NuScale discussed the progress on developing the RAI responses.
