License Application Chapter Updates Review Date:
Wednesday, November 14, 2018 11:30:00 AM By letter dated October 26, 2018, you submitted Chapter Updates (ADAMS Accession No. ML18299A102) to the GNF-A Application that were internally reviewed by GNF-A staff and documented as changes to license commitments not requiring prior NRC approval in accordance with Chapter 1.3.1.2 of the GNF-A and title 10 CFR 70.72. The bulk of the changes affected Chapter 7, Fire Safety, a thorough administrative update, having been unchanged since license renewal in 2009. In addition, there were minor administrative changes to Chapters 2 (Organization and Administration), Chapter 8 (Radiological Contingency and Emergency Plan), and Chapter 11 (Management Measures). I performed essentially an Acceptance Review and find the changes do not require a detailed review or amendment to the license. The changes to the application are adequate, and consistent with protecting public health and the environment. These changes may be reviewed onsite in the course of the normal inspection cycle of Region II Agency Staff. Please submit a completed entire application that reflects these changes. This email and the updated application will be docketed as a record of this update.
