R. E. GINNA NUCLEAR POWER PLANT - CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NO. 131 RE: REVISE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TO ADOPT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TASK FORCE (TSTF) TRAVELER 547, "CLARIFICATION OF ROD POSITION REQUIREMENTS" (EPID L-2018-LLA-0179)
Dear Mr. Hanson:
On October 31, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 131 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-18 for the R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML18295A630) in response to your application dated June 25, 2018, as supplemented by letter dated August 29, 2018.
The amendment revised Technical Specification (TS) 3.1.4, "Rod Group Alignment Limits";
TS 3.1.5, "Shutdown Bank Insertion Limit"; TS 3.1.6, "Control Bank Insertion Limits"; and TS 3.1.7, "Rod Position Indication," consistent with NRC-approved Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) Traveler TSTF-547, Revision 1, "Clarification of Rod Position Requirements," dated March 4, 2016.
Shortly after the amendment was issued, it was discovered that the Attachment page to the amendment omitted listing page number 3.1. 7-4 in the "Remove" column for the directions for updating Appendix A, Technical Specifications. Because the text on page number 3.1.7-4 was moved to the updated page number 3.1. 7-3 (specifically Surveillance Requirement 3.1. 7.1 text was revised and moved to the updated page number 3.1. 7-3 ), there is no longer a need for page number 3.1. 7-4. The corrected Attachment page is enclosed.
