Preliminary Capability Assessment for Farley NPP - 12 Oct 18 Mister Johnson, On October 12, 2018, based on the Preliminary Capabilities Assessment (PCA) performed, and our review of available information gathered in discussions with the Offsite Response Organizations (OROs), FEMA has concluded that offsite radiological emergency preparedness (EP) remains adequate to provide Reasonable Assurance and that appropriate measures can be taken to protect the health and safety of the public in a radiological emergency at the Farley Nuclear Generating Plant.

At this time, FEMA is not initiating actions to conduct a Disaster Initiated Review (DIR) of offsite EP issues within the Farley Nuclear Generating Plant 10-mile emergency planning zone (EPZ).

This will be followed by a formal letter with the official findings from the PCA.
