TOPICAL REPORT ANP-10297, REVISION 0, SUPPLEMENT 1P-A, REVISION 0, THE ARCADIA REACTOR ANALYSIS SYSTEM FOR PWRs METHODOLOGY DESCRIPTION AND BENCHMARKING RESULTS (MF6469/EPID:

L-2015-TOP-0005)

Dear Mr. Peters:

By letter dated September 25, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18270A356), Framatome Inc. (Framatome, formerly AREVA Inc.)

submitted an approval (-A) version of Topical Report (TR) ANP-10297, Revision 0, Supplement 1P-A, Revision 0, "The ARCADIA Reactor Analysis System for PWRs

[Pressurized Water Reactors] Methodology Description and Benchmarking Results," to the U.S.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff. Framatome has done so in accordance with our request to publish approval proprietary and non-proprietary versions of this TR, as detailed in the transmittal letter dated August 3, 2018, of the NRC staffs final safety evaluation (ADAMS Accession No. ML18178A609) for the original TR.

The NRC staff has completed its review of the approval version of the TR. The NRC staff verified that Framatome has met the requirements and determined that the submitted -A versions are acceptable for referencing in licensing applications for nuclear power plants to the extent specified and under the limitations delineated in the accepted versions of the TR. TR ANP-10297, Revision 0, Supplement 1P-A, Revision 0, "The ARCADIA Reactor Analysis System for PWRs Methodology Description and Benchmarking Results," is now approved for use in future licensing actions.
