Dear Mr. Dapas:
The purpose of this letter is to forward the 2018 Biennial Exercise Packet to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) as committed within USEC-02, Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PORTS) Emergency Plan. Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth, LLC, has scheduled the PORTS site wide 2018 Biennial Emergency Preparedness Exercise for Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
American Centrifuge Operating, LLC (ACO) is no longer an active member of the PORTS Emergency Response organization due to the absence of any radiological hazards within ACO's facilities that could result in an accidental release of special nuclear material or associated chemical hazards. All NRC regulated material has been properly dispositioned as reflected in the applicable Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System inventory report. ACO has requested termination of the American Centrifuge Lead Cascade Facility Materials License (Reference 1 ).
