Attachment to RA 18-0099 Page 1 of 2 Summary of Changes to Four Procedures and Four Forms that Implement the Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS) Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP)

1. Procedure AP 06-002, "Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP),"

Rev.188 Eleven Administrative Corrections (ACs) are made which include:

minor word changes; name and title changes; and grammatical error corrections. There are no intent changes to required E-Plan functions.

2. Procedure EPP 06-001, "Control Room Operations," Rev. 27 Fire Brigade duties are removed from the on-shift Chemistry and Health Physics (HP) Technicians and will be performed by an all Operations Fire Brigade. The procedure is also changed to realign the on-shift Chemistry Technician's duties and reports.

The changes fully support required E-Plan functions.

A few steps in 7.2.4 are combined and reordered for clarity.

These changes are administrative in nature.

3. Procedure EPP 06-002, "Technical Support Center Operations,"

Rev. 41 New steps are provided to ensure that the 90-minute augmentation requirements are met. New direction is provided for the Shift Chemist, who will respond to the Control Room to perform Control Room/Dose Assessment functions and may provide the Technical Support Center (TSC) with in-plant sampling requests. The second Chemistry on-shift Technician will report to the Control Room to perform off-site notifications.

Chemistry sampling will be performed by a Chemistry Technician reporting to the TSC. There is enhanced guidance for the Administrative Coordinator. Several bullets were added to provide guidance for staff augmentation. These changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS) Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP).

4. Procedure EPP 06-004, "Public Information Organization" Rev. 29A Minor word changes reflect the upgraded Emergency Action, Level (EAL) criteria in the latest approved Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) guidance. The STARS Alliance stations, including Wolf Creek, have implented NEI 99-01, Revision 6, "Development of Emergency Action Levels for Non-Passive Reactors." These changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP.

5. Form EPF 06-004-11, "Topeka Phone Team Room Checklist," Rev. 5A Phone number changes are made. The reference to EPF 06-004-10, MEDIA TEAM REPORT, on page 3, is removed. This form has been voided; all information is now included on EPF 06-004-07, PHONE TEAM INFORMATION REPORT. This change is editorial in nature and does not reduce the effectiveness of the WCGSRERP.
6. Form EPF 06-018-06, "Emergency Planning Monthly Communications Checklist," Rev. 12 The NRC changed the method for Emergency Response Data System (EROS) data transmission to a Virtual Private Connect (VPN). Subsequently, the NRC determined that the EROS ETS line is no longer needed and disconnected service to the line on 5/31/2018. The EROS Emergency Telephone System (ETS) test requirement is removed as a monthly testing requirement. This change does not reduce the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP.

7 .. Form EPF 06-018-15, "Emergency Planning Quarterly Communications Checklist," Rev. 148 Phone numbers are updated/changed. These changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP.

8. Form EPF 06-018-19, "Emergency Response Data System (EROS) Test,"

Rev.2B The NRC moved Wolf Creek's normal test date from Wednesday to Thursday, This form was changed to reflect Thursday as the test day. This change does not decrease the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP.
