OF THE AUGUST 7 AND 21, 2018, U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION CATEGORY 1 PUBLIC TELECONFERENCE WITH NUSCALE POWER, LLC TO DISCUSS STAFF FEEDBACK ON NUSCALE RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NOS. 9394, 9399, AND 9415 On August 7 and 21, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held Category 1 teleconference public meetings with NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale) to discuss staff feedback on NuScale response to the staffs Request for Additional Information (RAI)

Nos. 9394, 9399, and 9415 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Nos. ML18123A539, ML18137A583, and ML18172A318, respectively).

These RAIs are related to NuScale Design Certification Application, Chapter 18, "Human Factors Engineering." One member of the public participated in the August 7, 2018, meeting.

No members of the public participated in the August 21, 2018, meeting.

U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION CATEGORY 1 PUBLIC TELECONFERENCE WITH NUSCALE POWER, LLC TO DISCUSS STAFF FEEDBACK ON NUSCALE RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NOS. 9394, 9399, 9415 On August 7 and 21, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held Category 1 teleconference public meetings with NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale) to discuss the NRC staffs feedback on NuScales response to Request for Additional Information (RAI)

Nos. 9394, 9399, and 9415 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Nos. ML18123A539, ML18137A583, and ML18172A318, respectively).

These RAIs are related to NuScale Design Certification Application (DCA), Chapter 18, "Human Factors Engineering." Attendees for this meeting are listed in Enclosure 2. One member of the public joined the August 7, 2018, meeting, and had no comments for the NRC staff. No members of the public joined the August 21, 2018, meeting. While there was proprietary discussion at a designated time during the meeting on August 7, there was no proprietary discussion on August 21.

At the August 7, 2018, teleconference, the NRC staff discussed their feedback on NuScale responses to RAIs 9394, 9399, and 9415. The NRC staff also shared additional feedback comments on NuScale response to RAI 9415. NuScale stated that they would need to revisit these comments before engaging the NRC staff for further discussion.

At the August 21, 2018, teleconference, significant discussion took place regarding the need for inclusion, within the ITAAC 3.15-1 No. 1 scope, of the design implementation activities described in the design implementation (DI) implementation plan (IP). At this meeting, the NRC staff also discussed additional feedback on NuScale response to RAI 9415.

A synopsis of the discussions and outcomes is provided in Attachment 1 (non-proprietary) and (proprietary) to this meeting summary as listed below:
