INFORMATION TRANSMITTED HEREWITH IS PROTECTED FROM PUBLIC DISCLOSURE AS SECURITY RELATED INFORMATION PURSUANT TO 10 CFR 2.390(d)(l).
Dear Ms. Bailey:
Based upon discussions with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) staff on August 8, 2018, during an on-site cyber security inspection at Centrus Energy Corp. (Centrus) Headquarters (HQ), it was determined that the revised cyber security plan SP-HQ-0008, Centrus
- Energy Corp. Headquarters Classified Administrative Thin Client System Security Control Security Plan (Reference 1) appropriately addressed the NRC's Request for Supplemental Information (Reference 2). As a result, Centrus was directed to conduct the necessary Security Assessment Report (SP-HQ-0009) associated with this cyber security plan and is being submitted as Enclosure 1. contains Security-Related Information and in accordance with the guidance provided by the DOE, also contains Official Use Only information. Centrus requests that Enclosure 1 be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390(d)(l).
Centrus respectfully requests NRC review of the Security Assessment Report be completed at your earliest convenience to allow the DOE accreditation and NRC approval allowing classified cyber operations to resume at Centrus HQ.
Document herewith contains Security-Related Information - Withhold Under 10 CFR 2.390 Official Use Only When separated from Enclosure 1, this letter is UNCLASSIFIED.
