I uPII'e have received copies of Amendment No. 66 to the license application for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1, 2, 3 and 4, sub-mitted by Carolina Power and Light.

This Environmental Report amend-ment refers to, among other things, an impoundment to receive water from proposed cooling towers.

T. would appreciate it if you could provide us with an up-to-.date account of the measures taken to insure that this project will not have an adverse effect on significant archeological resources.

We would specifically like to see any reports on the assessment of impact to these resources that describe any archeological

surveys, testing, or excavation of archeological sites that may be located in the project area.

We will appreciate receiving your response at your earliest possible convenience.
