27611 This is in reference to my letter of September 2, 1977, pertaining to Carolina Power and Light Company's (CP&L) Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, to be located in southwest Wake County.

Subsequent to my letter of September 2, 1977, we have met with personnel of CP&L and have received information from them that satisfies concerns expressed in my earlier letter. CP&L has had Division ot archeological and historical studies undertaken and has provided Archives onci History us recent copies of that work. Any additional information forth-coming from these studies will also be provided us.
