Dear Bill:

I hereby request that you ask the Licensing Board for Shearon-Harris to postpone the hearing appearance of R. L. Spore for one week to October 4, 1977.

Dr. Spore informs me that, due to the fact that he has recently assumed new administrative duties here at the Laboratory combined with the unavailability of other cost/benefit staff for

'ssistance, he will be unable to complete preparation of his testimony according to the original schedule.

The requested delay will help assure the quality of testimony that is prepared and generally enable a more thorough review.
