I am. pleased to provide the Council with ten copies of the Pinal Environ-mental Statement, prepared by the Commission's Regulatory Staff, on environmental considerations under.the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 relating to the facility identified in the enclosure to this 1etter.
This Final. Environmental Statement was prepared in accordance with the statement of general policy and procedure on implementation of the National Environmental 'Policy Act of 1969 as set,out in Appendix D of the Commission's regulations, 10 CFR Part 50.
A notice of the avail-ability of the statement is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for filing and publication (copies enclosed).
The Final Environmental Statement incIudes a discussion of problems and objections raised by Fedexal, State and local agencies or officials and private organizations and individuals and the disposition thereof.
