The Company herewith transmits three (3) originals and sixty (60) copies of Amendment No. 52 to its License Application for the proposed Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant Units 1, 2, 3, and 4. This Amendment is submitted to incorporate new or revised technical information. The responses and revisions are submitted in the form of revised pages to the PSAR. Instructions for enter-ing the revised pages in the PSAR are included in this Amendment. Each page which has been revised bears the amendment number and vertical bars in the margin to indicate the locations of the revision.

Copies of this Amendment have been served on Mr. Vassar P. Shearon, Chairman, Board of County Commissioners of Wake County, North Carolina, and Mr. Ben Wimberly, Chairman, Board of County Commissioners of Chatham County, North Carolina, and parties to the proceeding. The original and thirty (30) copies of the Certificate of Service are enclosed.
