SHEARON HARRIS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT UNIT 1, 2, 3 AND 4 DOCKET NOS. 50-400, 50-401, 50-402, AND 50-403 SANDIA AND MICHELSON REPORTS
Dear Mr. Clark:
As discussed with Mr. Bill Ross of your staff, CP&L formally requests that Mr. Vincent A. Walker of Ebasco Services, Inc. be permitted to review the Sandia Report and Michelson Report concerning various aspects of nuclear power plant security.
Ebasco Services has been awarded the contract for the design and engineering of the security system at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP) Units 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Mr. Walker is the Manager of Ebasco's Security Department and in this capacity has a "need to know" the contents of these reports in order to consider the reports'ecommendations during the design of the SHNPP security system.
Mr. Walker has advised us that he presently holds a "QX" security clearance issued by the Energy Research and Development Administration (ERDA).
Mr. Bill Ross has indicated that this is satisfactory clearance for review of these reports.
