Docket. Nos.
50-250 and 50-251 Reactor Vessel Surveillance Ca sules Florida Power a Light Company hereby submits fifteen (15) copies of a summary technical report on the results of Turkey Point.
reactor vessel integrity analyses.
The analyses were performed in accordance with 10 CFR 50, Appendix G, Section V.B.
The present report, seri'es updates previously submitted analyses for Turkey Point Units 3 and 4.
The series includes an ASME III Appendix G Analysis, a fatigue crack growth evaluation, and a
fracture mechanics evaluation of the pressure vessel subjected to postulated accident conditions.
On April 7, 1977, a meeting was held withstaff members from Operating Reactors Branch N3.
At that meeting it was shown that the weld metal surveillance'ata for the Turkey Point Unit 3 reactor vessel represents not only the coze midplane circumferential welds in Unit 3, but in Unit 4 as well.
Data supporting this con-clusion has been submitted to the Division of Operating Reactors.
I Based on the results of the April 7 meeting and the results of the present report series, the Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 reactor vessels are in full compliance with 10 CFR 50, Appendix G.
Very truly yours, Robert E. Uhrig Vice President REU/MAS/cpc Attachments cc:
