NRC FORM 464 Part I U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION NRC RESPONSE NUMBER (04-2018)

RESPONSE TO FREEDOM OF 2018-000561 1 INFORMATION ACT (FOIA) REQUEST RESPONSE TYPE INTERIM FINAL PART I.D -- COMMENTS As the assigned Government Information Specialist informed you, the FOIA provides members of the public with a means of access to existing agency records; it is not a vehicle for asking questions of the agency. However, to the extent an agency possesses records that contain information that would provide answers to the questions posed by a requester, it should consider those records responsive to the request. In response to your request, the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) provided us with records that correspond to items 2-6 of your request; NRR does not maintain any records that reflect upon the information you ask about in item 1. Enclosed you will find a listing of records that the NRC has already made available to the public, as well as the existing records located that correspond to items 2-6. (Note that, since item 6 asks only for sample exam materials that have been archived and will no longer be used, we have not included any of the material scheduled for use in the September 2018 exams.)
