Dear Mr. Nelson,
By letter dated April 3, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18102A539), Crow Butte Resources, Inc. (CBR) requested a license amendment for an alternate decommissioning schedule for Mine Units 2-6. By e-mail dated July 3, 2018 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18191B238), CBR revised this schedule to include four consecutive quarters of monitoring following spot treatment of P246 in Mine Unit #3.
The NRC staff has completed its acceptance review of this revised amendment request and has found the request acceptable for further detailed technical review.
The NRC staff anticipates completing this licensing action (amendment) by October 31, 2018. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure" a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html
