1974, with respect to, the timely preparation of the Commission's draft.envixonmental statement for the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Arizona:

l.

The applicant was to pxovide Xnterior with 4 copies of its transmission line corridor.analysis for the, Arizona and New Mexico segments.

These documents were received and-made available to our field offices by. memorandum dated December 9,

1974 (ER 74/1484}.

2.

The applicant indicated. that the Arizona segment of the transmission line coxr,idor was to, be revised and that they would brief our field offices"on the alternative align-ments they have under consideration during the.week of December 9-13, 1974.

This meeting was held on December 12, 1974, in the Office of the State Dixector of the Bureau of Land Management in Phoenix,. Arizona.

The applicant also said he would.provide us and our field-level offices with their decision on the preferred alignment by December 19, 1974.

On -Decembex 23, 1974, this office received supplemental information from the applicant on the revised transmission line corridor for the Palo 'Verde project and it is being provided to our appropriate field-offices.

AEC was to provide the Department of the Interior, with copies of those segments of its proposed draft environmental statement that deals with the transmission line component of the Palo Verde project.

We have xeceived this informa-tion and it has been forwarded to our field offices for review by memorandum dated D ~

1974, (ZR 74/1484).

Based on the information provided'y. the.'applj.cant a,nd AEC, Interior would conduct its review of the material and pvovide advance copies of the bureau revs.ew comments to AEC by January 10, 1975.

This xeview is now in pvogvess.

The formal comments of the Department of the Xntexiox on the tvansmi.ssion line coxvidox analysis would be provided to AEC by Januavy 17, 1975.

As a result of the foxegoing commitments, the concevns of the Depaxtment of the Interior will be considered in the pxepava-tion of the AEC draft environmental statement.

Xntevior also promised to provide staff assistance to AEC in the pveparation of the draft statement if needed.
