We have reviewed the Draft Environmental Statement related,'to construction of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1, 2, and 3.

In general, we have nothing to add to the recommendations made by your staff.

While it is recognized that additional power generating capacity is needed, it is regrettable that the construction of these units will utilize approximately 2200 acres of land now in cultivation.

What are the consequences of this action7 We appreciate having an opportunity to review this statement.
