Dear Mr. Parr:

With regard to your referenced request for a commitment to provide an interlock prohibiting depressurization of the main steamline if the inboard main steam isolation valve'ails to,close, we are currently studying the feasibility of providing the desired interlock.

We antic-ipate it will take until January 2, 1976, to determine whether the additional interlock to prevent inadvertent actuation of the main steam isolation valve leakage control system can be accommodated.

At that time we will inform you of our determination.
