Dear Mr. McKirgan:
I wish to express my sincere appreciation for the professional and efficient manner that Bernie White of your staff demonstrated in supporting Framatome in obtaining approval of an amendment request for the MAP-12 shipping package, Docket No. 71-9319.
During an internal review, Framatome identified a need to update the CoC for the MAP-12 shipping package prior to using the shipping package again due to discrepancies identified in the drawings referenced in the CoC. Framatome also had a commercial need to have the revised Coe approved in about a week from the time the NRC received the amendment request to support fuel shipments on June 20, 2018. Mr. White and his team responded quickly, efficiently and professionally to this review request. Mr. White provided regular status updates throughout the review process permitting us to assuage our customer's concerns relative to their delivery schedule.
