SUMMARY
OF JUNE 6, 2018, CLOSED PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING WITH FRAMATOME INC. REGARDING TOPICAL REPORT BAW-10227P, REVISION 2 On June 6, 2018, a closed pre-submittal meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and Framatome Inc. (Framatome) to discuss the purpose of, content of, and submittal plans for forthcoming Topical Report (TR) BAW-10227, Revision 2, Evaluation of Advanced Cladding and Structural Material (M5) in PWR [Pressurized Water Reactor] Reactor Fuel. The M5 material will not change. Framatome will seek to update material properties and performance models. Framatome will also update the databases for support of extended material limits.
During the meeting, Framatome informed the NRC staff of the objectives of the TR, provided the background to get to this revision, and discussed the contents of the TR. Framatome also proposed a schedule to submit, review, and approve the TR.
