FOR CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT PROJECT This letter -refers to the configuration management project meeting held at your request in the Region II office on August 15, 1990.
The purpose of the meeting was to present an update of the configuration management project status to the NRC.
A list of attendees, a summary, and a copy of your handout are enclosed._
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.

e ENCLOSURE 2 Meeting Summary On August 15, 1990, representatives from Virginia Power met with the NRC at the RI! office in Atlanta, Georgia to present an update on their configuration management project. The presentation followed the material in Enclosure 3.
Each of the program elements were described.
The status of completion as of this date was described and a projected completion date was presented.
Final completion is scheduled for early 1992.
The licensee described their system for tracking and resolving open items. *.Open items are prioritized and resolved if needed.
Also described were the various contractors and their role in the project.
It was concluded that the project is comprehensive and is an effective method for upgrading design basis information.
It was also agreed that this project will provide support for other activities and programs in the future.
