UNIMPLEMENTED UNRESOLVED SAFETY ISSUES AT SURRY, UNITS 1 AND 2 On October 19, 1989, the.staff issued Generic Letter (GL) 89-21 which requested information concerning the status of implementation of unresolved safety issues
{USis) at your facility. Based on your response to this GL, dated November 29, 1989 and our review of Agency records and discussions with your staff, we compiled an assessment of USI implementation at your facility. These results were presented to the Commission at a meeting on February 14, 1990.
The enclosure to this letter presents our understanding of the current status of all unimplemented USis for Surry Units 1 and 2.
We encourage your continued efforts to complete the unimplemented USis.
