SUMMARY
On September 5,. 1989, representatives of Virginia Electric and Power Company met with NRC personnel in Atlanta, Georgia. Licensee representatives described a program. designed to enhance emergency-preparedness at their North Anna and Surry facilities, where* significant problems-in this area have been identified during recent NRG inspections and licensee audits.
The licensee 1s presentation included a discussion of the need for the-referenced program as well as the approach that will be used. to implement the identified corrective actions.. A list of 225 issues had been developed as the basis for an action plan, with each issue categorized in one of 19 enhancement areas. Also discussed in the meeting were various topics and issues of mutual interest in the area of emergency preparedness. Licensee representatives did not make* any commitments during the meeting.
