88-7378 Rev. A 50-280 50-281 DPR-32 DPR-37 On February 3, 1989, we responded (Serial No. 88-737A) to Generic Letter 88-17, Loss of Decay Heat Removal, with our proposed programmatic enhancements to reduce the likelihood of a loss of decay heat removal event during non-power operation.
In item 3a of our response, we stated that a review and upgrade of our maintenance and surveillance test procedures that may impact the residual heat removal (RHR) system would be completed by October 1, 1989.
- However, due to the extensive resources required to support the recent dual unit outages, we will be unable to complete this effort for Surry by the above date.
The new completion date for the review/upgrade of these procedures is March 31, 1990.
The next refueling outage is currently scheduled for the Fall of 1990.
